The Datchworths team encompasses professionals covering all the key business management and operational functions, including Finance, Marketing, Sales and Strategic Planning, Manufacturing, Engineering (mechanical & electrical), ICT, HR, Logistics etc. Our broadly based team’s experience incorporates virtually all key business sectors and has extensive operational experience across Europe, North America, Middle East, Asia and BRIC.

A qualified accountant (FCCA), Terry has held senior financial positions in companies as varied as GKN, Tarmac and Servis (domestic appliances) and with a strong business / commercial orientation combines a wealth of financial / accounting experience with a successful track record in operational and general management, including reorganisation and turnround situations.

He was Managing Director of Patrick Sportswear, Operations Director and subsequently MD of Broadcrown Group prior to accepting a senior role at Boss Design (a leading manufacturer of office seating) and then developing his own businesses.

Experience covers all aspects of finance and accounts, contract (sales & purchases) negotiation, logistics & warehousing, production management, factory design / build / relocation and cost reduction / efficiency programmes. International experience extends to Europe, Far East and USA.

While used to working at senior Board level, Terry has a flexible and pragmatic approach and has also completed a large number of assignments with small companies providing valuable support and advice across the business spectrum.

Originally trained as an economist, Philip moved in to marketing and general management. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

With over 35 years UK & international experience he has a blue chip background having worked for JCB, Centreway Industries plc and Servis Domestic Appliances. He founded and runs a group of family owned companies specialising in marketing, design and internet services with a wide portfolio of clients / industries.

He is an experienced Managing Director and has a successful track record as a Senior Marketing / Business Consultant. Excellent understanding of business and finance. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and operation of service businesses. Wide experience of sales and marketing in consumer, industrial and retail sectors. Excellent strategic thinker, capable of generating original solutions to complex business issues. In depth knowledge of the Internet and its application to business.

Peter Purdom has over 30 years experience in human resource management and development, spanning both the public and private sectors. Following his role as County Personnel Officer with Cheshire County Council, he took up a senior consulting role with KPMG and subsequently with Sanders and Sidney plc. Subsequently he established a successful search and selection consultancy before joining Penna plc as Regional Head for the North of England. He currently runs his own thriving consulting business.

Peter was previously the National Vice President of Education for the former IPM and, for six years until 2005, he served as the National Honorary Treasurer for the CIPD. He is a Chartered Companion of the CIPD, a Trustee of its Pension Scheme, as well as a Member of CIPD’s Professional Standards and Conducts Committee.

An experienced Company Secretary, Lynn also has considerable experience in the fields of Human Resources and Marketing.

For a number of years she operated a ‘virtual’ Career Development business for Sanders & Sidney plc, responsible for all aspects of the business from sales to accounting, and has developed a specialist interest in Internet related business.

She has a broad background in marketing, design and promotions with a successful track record of handling complex marketing projects – covering everything from market research to event co-ordination across a wide range of industry sectors.

Originally from Coventry, Vernon has been in the US for over 10 years and has recently become a US citizen.

A trained engineer he has over 35 years broad-based business experience including over twenty years specializing in turnaround and crisis management. He has held senior positions in the UK and USA in both privately held and publicly traded companies. His corporate experience has ranged from companies of $5M to $6BN in sales revenues. In both operational and turnaround situations he has held chairman, president, CEO, COO, Executive VP and VP Directorships.

His extensive business knowledge and international experience as an agent of change makes him eminently qualified to identify business challenges and quickly develop and implement remedial actions.

He has considerable experience of restructuring companies and producing and implementing strategies to permit re-financing and new equity participation. He has successfully turned around and developed businesses in a wide range of industries including consumer products, manufacturing, high technology, transportation and service industries.

A qualified accountant (FCCA) John has proven experience of business development, financial and organisational strategy implementation within industry to board level. Industrial experience spans manufacturing with a specialism in food and related products. John has substantial financial and treasury skills coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, technical and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on man management and strategic thinking.

John is also qualified as an independent financial adviser with membership of both the Chartered Insurance Institute, and the Society of Mortgage Professionals. He provides financial solutions to client specific requirements for both individual and incorporated bodies. He also has considerable experience in inheritance tax and estate planning.

Andrew has proven experience of developing and implementing successful sales & marketing strategies, with a particular interest in the measurement and enhancement of customer experience and the effectiveness of business development activity.

Andrew began his career with Deloitte Consulting advising a number of high profile clients in the banking and telecoms sectors, as well as Deloitte itself.

Over the intervening years he has worked client side supporting a wide variety of organisations from the EMEA operations of a Fortune 150 business; and a Fortune India 25 business through to a variety of smaller privately held businesses, gaining experience in a wide variety of sectors including software, automotive, media, health, logistics, professional services, leisure and building products.

Andrew has substantial product & proposition development experience, coupled with the commercial acumen, financial and modelling skills required to develop user requirements, product specifications and pricing models.

A qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner, Andrew has extensive project management experience, having lead a wide variety of sales & marketing projects including an international re-branding programme, a national product launch roadshow, high value bids & tenders, and national marketing campaigns, as well as leading elements in a variety of business transformation and CRM implementation projects.
